Oven Braised Beef Short Ribs

I love a nice comfort meal. These beef short ribs are so delicious and flavorful, you’ll want to make over and over. One day when I caught short ribs at my local grocery store on sale because they were “use by today” I decided to grab a few packs and give them a try. I’m so glad I did. I’ve made a few times since then. These are perfect for a dinner party or just a day at . They are cooked low and slow and come out so tender they fall off the bone. Give this recipe a try, they are very simple and are sure to be a favorite.

Oven Braised Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients:

Marinade:
½ cup olive oil
2 T light soy sauce
2 T Dijon mustard
2 T ketchup
1 T Worcestershire sauce
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
½ T onion powder
½ T garlic powder
½ T paprika
½ T chili powder
2 t salt
2 t pepper
2 T light brown sugar

2 lbs bone- in beef short ribs
Salt & Pepper for seasoning

Directions: Add all marinade ingredients into a small bowl and whisk together till fully incorporated. Let sit aside for 30 minutes while the flavors blend.

Preheat oven to 250°-275°. In a oven safe dish (I use throw away aluminum pans for easy clean up) add in the beef ribs and season with salt and pepper. Add in the marinade over the ribs and massage into the meat and mix well. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 3-3.5 hours. Check ribs at about 2 hours. They should be fork tender and completely coming off the bones. Cook less or more depending on your oven. Once cooked, the bones should easily come off. Serve over mashed potatoes or with your favorite sides and enjoy.

Note: All ovens are different and it may take longer to cook in your oven or less. Just keep an eye on it and check to make sure it’s tender.
